Amazon Air Expands Fleet with New Aircraft Lease

Substantial Investment in Air Cargo Network

Amazon Air, the dedicated cargo airline operated by Amazon, has announced a significant expansion of its fleet. The company has leased 12 Boeing 767-300 converted cargo aircraft from Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), increasing its total fleet size to 89 aircraft.

Strengthening Infrastructure for Rapid Delivery

This expansion is part of Amazon's ongoing efforts to strengthen its air cargo network and meet the growing demand for fast and efficient delivery of products to customers. The additional aircraft will enable Amazon Air to expand its geographical reach and enhance its ability to transport a wide range of items, including fresh produce, pharmaceuticals, and high-value goods.

Collaboration with Strategic Partners

Amazon Air has also partnered with Delta Air Lines and WestJet to add seven and four aircraft to its fleet, respectively. These partnerships demonstrate the company's commitment to leveraging the expertise and resources of established airlines to complement its own operations.

Continued Growth and Innovation

The expansion of the Amazon Air fleet underscores the company's continued investment in innovation and its determination to provide customers with the best possible delivery experience. By leveraging a growing network of aircraft and strategic partnerships, Amazon Air is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of e-commerce and ensure the timely and reliable delivery of goods around the world.
